The Director of Health Services in Botswana Malaki Tshipayagae has issued a statement on the first suspected case of Corona Virus in Botswana on Thursday the 30th.
The suspected case was registered at Sir Seretse Khama International Airport upon arrival from China using Ethiopian Airways and the person is still under isolation at Block 8 Clinic and investigations are underway, according to the statement issued.
The Ministry of Health and Wellness advises those who will be travelling to observe precaution measures given, which include making sure one is screened at points of entry and report any signs of headache, fever, fatigue and any discomforts during travelling.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has since declared Wuhan Corona virus an international emergency. So far the virus has killed more than 213 people with at least 9 809 confirmed cases. There are 15 239 suspected cases.
