While Zimbabwean borders are still open for its citizens abroad to enter, Ghana is not having that. A renowed African rapper, Sarkodie has been criticised heavily for asking the President to open the borders for Ghanaians abroad to return home.
Sarkodie tweeted at the President applauding him for a good job done in handling the coronavirus situation in Ghana and pleaded with him to open the borders for a day or two to enable Ghanaians abroad to return home.
This request from Sarkodie sparked rage in netizens since he is expected to know better on what needs to be done to help eradicate the virus rather than exposing people. Most people believe that he made that request to bring home his friend Pappy Kojo who is currently stranded in Italy. The President of also made mention of the stranded Pappy Kojo.
Ghana currently has 1042 confirmed cases, 9 deaths and 99 recoveries. Opening the borders will increase further spread of the virus, a twitter user said.
