Men in China's capital city have been banned from wearing the 'Beijing bikini' in a bid to improve public hygiene. Ever been to Beijing in summer, because that is when this happens. Everywhere, you are likely to spot a man belly out.
Beijing summers are so hot that you can roast a Beijing duck on the pavement. During that time men forget about covering their bellies especially the elderly, but now the so dearly loved culture has been banned and labelled 'uncivilised behaviour' by Beijing Municipality. All on coronavirus' head. Honestly, COVID won't see heaven.
Other regulations include covering mouth or nose when sneezing, wearing masks, public spaces to set up one metre distance markers and provide communal chopsticks and serving spoons for shared meals. Failure to adhere warrants a fine.
Citizens should also dress neatly in public and not go shirtless. Residents responsible for noise pollution in public spaces and who walk their dogs without a leash will be fined too. Police have been encouraged to report serious cases which may affect one's social credit.
