It was indeed a shock as Zim youtubers woke up to a post by Prophet Passion Java asking all youtubers and facebook users who share his videos to delete them or risk getting copyright strikes. Prophet Passion Java aka Twabam is one of the top searched name on youtube and his videos draw views. They are interesting and entertaining. Youtubers love him and don't miss a single post. Youtubers are partly responsible for the making of Twabam a household name by the way they blew his name left, right and center.
There are some still hoping that the Prophet will change his mind and give them a warning never to use his future videos without permission. In panick, some tried to reach out to him but say they haven't gotten response yet. Most believe Twabam is a good man, and might pardon them for old videos but they will have to follow proper procedure for future videos.
Reposting is common when it comes to social media. Most people don't mind their videos shared while others demand that you acknowledge them and for others outright no.
Over the months there has been an increase of Zim youtubers both home and abroad tackling different niches. In the process of sharing videos and doing commentary, we have also seen a larger activity of reposts of videos by popular or famous people like Prophets, artists and some just general clips from social media. Under fair use, this is allowed, however, some video owners don't agree to reposting of their videos which means one has to get consent before use or risk getting copyright strike or use but revenue from the video goes to the owner.
Youtubers are aware of this but because there was no issue raised by those whose videos they shared, they saw no reason to ask for permission. Also the fact that people believe men of God see things differently and love for the gospel to be shared contributes to the reason why their videos are re-posted more.
There has been some Zim celebrities threatening youtubers who make unfavourable commentary about them. Zim celebrities and youtubers should not be enemies rather should work together. Youtubers have become more popular than some celebs. Their following is growing by day. Big Youtubers like Zigo Tv, Kundai Chitima, JCTV, Zekey Media Zw, Dee Mabs, Yoboi Beats, Pixie Pearls and many more are there to stay and the earlier some celebs colaborate with them, the better. Take advantage of free publicity because time shall come when you will need to pay them to do what you are denying them now.
H-METRO ran a headline 'MUDIWA BACK ON MARKET' which Mudiwa took to his page and fans reacted.
One follower wrote ' I pray you work out Mudiwa Hood and wifey... It's just my wish no offence."
Well, there was no offence with that.
We all wish families could stay together but sometimes it's harder than it seems.
Well, Mudiwa had to respond to this by saying our favourite Shona line' " MUKA UBIKE DORO" literally translated as 'wake up and brew beer'.
The Ndaita Mari hit maker has been making waves these days, from interactive live streams, giving out cash, to Twabam collaborations. It's like all of a sudden the soon to turn 35 years artist has come out of closet. Not your typical closet rather out of the shell.
When one is married, there is this low key that one plays, sort of restriction but once the tie is broken for some they become withdrawn while others become very vocal. Social media becomes their outlet.
Some of Mudiwa's posts especially on twitter have been somehow a show of either enjoying his single life or escaping the break-up hurt. At one time it prompted one his followers to comment that it seemed he was enjoying the break-up. Well, we will never now what exactly happened between him and his now Ex but what we know for sure is MUDIWA IS BACK ON MARKET. How much he is going for, well we wait for the price tag.
